U. Brill: Creep behavior of metallic alloys- online version

100,00

As a result of a cooperation between HANSER Publishing and Matplus GmbH, creep data for metallic alloys are available online now.

Designers and process engineers thus have direct comparative access to the data, which were available so far only in book form. This allows material alternatives to be found easier and more safely, so that superior products result from practical material innovations.

Heat resistant steels as well as nickel and cobalt alloys are indispensable materials for high temperature applications. Important fields of application are, for example, chemical and plant engineering, energy and environmental technology as well as aerospace and the automotive industry. The strength and creep resistance of these materials as a function of temperature and time determine the performance and resource efficiency of the products.

This important data, together with a comprehensive knowledge base, is now available in a new online system. For currently approx. 300 alloys (199 steels, 77 nickel alloys and 23 cobalt alloys) the available creep data base is presented in overview tables and individual material data sheets with standard description.

Benefits for users through the digital knowledge base

– All data ara available in a multilingual version in different units. Summary tables allow easy filtering and comparison of data. A full-text index complements the numeric queries.

– Interactive graphics allow a superposition of data from different materials, texts, formulas and references are linked to the data.

– The knowledge base is versatile: easy access is an annual subscription to the continuously maintained online version. In addition, the system can also be deployed for the corporate intranet.
